Bulletguy
Well this has taken an unexpected turn....and for the greater good too! :-D After the appearance of Tracy Brabin MP in that dress in the HoC went viral on social media with folk calling her a “slapper”, “slut” and “tart”, for daring to show her shoulder, she decided to auction it off to raise funds for the Girl Guides. Bids are currently at a whopping £17,000 and still has four days to run. 8-) https://tinyurl.com/rujlaq9 Apparently the only reason she turned up in the dress is she had been to a music event earlier in the day and was not expecting to be called to the despatch box. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-51406413 So Brabin has the last laugh as the dress cost just £35 quid from ASOS.....who are also well pleased as their stock is flying off the shelves! :D https://tinyurl.com/voh7x7o

John52
Of course they should have been listening to what she was saying instead of changing the subject to her dress. But she shouldn't have given them the opportunity to change the subject by wearing something so unusual. Like when Michael Foot wore a short coat at a memorial service - a gift to the gutter press who couldn't argue with what he was saying. Or when Neil Kinnock made a brilliant speech at the Brighton conference, which was completely ignored in favour of a photo of him going *arse over tit on the beach whilst trying to dodge a wave and his lady companion at the sme time :-S
John52
Couple more examples of BoJo misleading the Commons which Antony might like He told the Commons that UC had already helped 20,000 people into work. But, as the UK Statistics Authority pointed out, that simply isn’t true. For one thing, 20,000 is the number the DWP claims will have been helped into work when UC is fully rolled-out, which won’t be for at least another four years. And, as the National Audit Office have explained, the figure is a fantasy one in any case. It’s impossible to separate UC from all the other factors in the economy that contribute to rising or falling employment. In a second untruth, answering a question about Errol Graham, the claimant who starved to death after his benefits were stopped, Johnson claimed that an independent Serious Case Panel (SCP) was looking into the tragedy. In fact, one of the few things we know about the newly established and deeply shadowy SCP is that it is staffed entirely by senior DWP civil servants. So, not independent in any way. Except, possibly, independent of the truth.
