Went to one of the more remote beaches on Coll, and it had some of the worse plastic polution I've ever seen. I guess due to the lack of people and it's remoteness combined with tides it caught ocean plastic, but rarely if ever got cleared.

Apparently UK doesn't have the facility to process all our plastic bottles.

So we ship them to another third world country where they chuck them in the river. :-S

Now Britain is another 3rd world country l suppose China, Malaysia and the Philippines will be sending it back to Britain to be disposed of,

( thrown in the sea. )

Actually the uk recycles 77% of plastic bottles .

This article shows what we do.

If we each refuse to buy things in plastic then supermarkets will be forced to change.

Morrisons are particularly bad, nearly all fruit is in plastic....even bananas for gods sake.
