How about 'black over Bill's mother's' - is that used anywhere else in the UK?

 

 

I'm probably wrong Janine but I think that one originated in Brum, not the Black Country. I think it was when the sky was black in the direction of Stratford upon Avon where Willie Spokeshave came from, and meant rain was on the way.
