I've never trusted Government statistics since Thatcher started fiddling the jobless figures to make out unemployment wasn't rising above the one million it was when she took over. The Downing Street Spin Machine has only got worse since then Nowadays I can't even stomach the Downing Street Press Briefings and look abroad for unbiased statistics and news. 'We're doing everything that we can' won't make me lose trust in the Government like 'Labour isn't working' did, because I've already lost trust in them, I can't lose it again.
