You are a silly billy Dave, you too should be voting for the muppet party to do it all over again - bigger pensions, bigger benefits, better NHS, better local authotity services, better railways, more government jobs for the boys - and best of all we will never have to pay for any of it!

Dream team, Kermit and Miss Piggy in charge and jobs for the boys Gonzo, Floyd, Scooter, Fozzie with Crazy Harry in charge of the MOD - now close to reality is that - scary eh!!

Quote:

Mr Hammond said: "Our economy is at a turning point with debt starting to fall"

In fact debt is continuing to rise http://www.nationaldebtclock.co.uk/

Which says it all really doesn't it.

.......And what will happen to it if Corbyn wins?????? ;-) ..........

Just Askin?????????? >:-) .........

Just changing the subject more like - because you have been proven wrong again (lol)

But since you ask, I guess that depends on how much more debt the Tories have accrued. Looks like the Tories will only lose the election when they have already maxed out our credit buying Tory votes from the DUP etc.

Gotta admit Brian I can see your point!

But do you reckon the Marxist Brothers and the Three Stooges could do any different or even better - 'cos most of us - even the 'normal' (if there is such a thing) Socialists - don't!

Well there were three people on that stage this afternoon that sounded like real statesmen and women today. Chukka, Anna Soubry and Caroline Lucas. Vince cable was there as well but I nodded off.

I know your going to say I like them because they are remainers but its not just that. Compare them to the likes of Redwood, Boris and Smug. The real dark forces of Politics. Redwood and Smuggy are just tycoons out for their own interests with a third job as an MP To help that along. Boris's only goal is to be PM and its all about him, not you. Chukka, Soubry and Lucas are decent people who are fighting for our country. Theres your true statesmen, right there on that stage in London today.

Sadly, no I don't, which will present a real dilemma come the next election. I have no political home at present, but would vote for anyone who looked likely to unseat our present Con MP.

I have no opinion as to her worth as a constituency MP, I have had no contact with her, but she is a tedious self-publicist, and was disgracefully conned by local fishermen over the 2016 restrictions on bass fishing, which they persuaded her had been summarily introduced by the EU, whereas that had been well publicised beforehand, and had ben steered through the EU by one George Eustace (Con, Cambourne and Redruth) as fisheries minister, in response to bass stocks rapidly diminishing due to over-fishing.

I prefer MPs who check their facts before falling in behind local self-interest groups, especially when that self-interest group is being demonstrably is foolish in the light of the facts. As a Conservative minister, I'm sure Eustace would have given her an informed teach-in on bass stocks before she opened her gob! She even adopted her Conservative minister's carefully championed bass fishing ban as a good reason to declare her support for Brexit! Definitely a member of the tell them what they want to hear, rather than what they need to know, brigade.

Don't know owt about the Bass fishing saga Brian other than as far back as 1999 when I last lived in Cornwall Bass, never an easy fish to catch by any means but once plentiful were known to be in decline both in numbers and in average caught size and it did not need any scientists to tell the fisherman what they already knew.

Bass are a very slow growing fish taking a few years to mature and any moves to protect stocks has to be good news.
