From your article.

"Sweden has never adopted 'herd immunity' as a strategy in itself but officials have voiced hopes that it would gradually help to limit the spread of the disease.

However, scientists are not yet fully certain of exactly how much immunity is provided by recovering from Covid-19, or for how long it lasts. "

Sounds to me that their eventual success is due to clear instruction from government and a sensible population following the rules.

The Herd immunity idea here was to just do feck all. Its why we lost our advantage when the penny finally dropped that it would likely kill 250000 people or perhaps many more.

And when the Government finally did act they made matters worse because it was all about 'Protect the NHS' instead of the NHS protecting us, because the Government was more concerned with the political embarrasement of the NHS being overwhelmed.

So hospital wards were kept almost empty because infected people were told to not even ring 111, and people were moved out of hospital into care homes with no protection, where their deaths went unseen and uncounted.

The Government tried to get away with only counting confirmed hospital deaths from covid.

For herd immunity to have a chance of working something like 80% have to be infected. Nowhere near that number of infections in Sweden or any country in the world.

Are you suggesting that its mainly remainers who are breaking the rules here? (lol) Thats really funny. Its generally thick as mince morons that are breaking the rules so how can they be remainers? The day the pubs were opened there were 42 incidents in Middlesbrough where the Police had to attend and one illegal rave with hundreds of people in attendance. 66% voted to leave in "The Boro". They have also been the worst town in the country for flouting the Covid rules with a quarter of them admitting they were taking no notice. Whereas nearby posh Hambleton in the North Yorkshire Dales had the best records for following the rules.

Generally the thicker you are the more likely you voted for Brexit and the more likely you are going to break the covid rules. (lol)
