Imagine how much good could have been done if the resources wasted on Brexit had been used to get them to work building the much needed infrastructure we need to compete with the likes of Germany. Crime rates in 2018 apparently dropped to their lowest levels in decades in Germany I gather. 2015 however did see the mobilisation of far right extremists in Germany who attacked asylum shelters, burning them down and even carried out assassinations of pro immigration politicians. No country in Europe saw as much right wing violence as Germany. Fast forward to 2020 though and Merkel is back up where she was in the approval ratings and the AFD are way down.
