niktam
A real easy one for Sunday but what is the easiest way to remove stickers from the rear window of the MH i.e acrylic/perspex whatever it is without damaging the surface. I have a number of very faded stickers and it will take me till the spring to pick them off at this rate.
IMP
If you can lift up a corner of each sticker, then spray one the the home white vinegar sprays onto the exposed edge, They should gradually ease off. You could also try a product called elbow grease, but follow the instruction carefully, if you do so.By the way, this is also great for getting rid of any yellow discolouring on fridge vents etc.
ColinM50
Hair dryer or hot air gun should soften them enough to lift a corner, then use the heat source on the edge to peel them off. Obviously be carful not to heat the structure too much. Gentle is the word
jumpstart
I found that warming them with a hair dryer( not too close) helped remove them . Then use “sticky stuff remover” to get residue off.
Geeco
I recently removed a large decal on the front bonnet of my AT. It had crazed badly from the engine heat and uv. I used her hair dryer ( much to my Wife's disgust) and the edge of an out of date credit card. The credit card used as a scraper worked a treat and did absolutely no damage to the paint work. Cheers,
Mark Wilkes
WD 40 works really well at removing the old glue. I have done it many times and it required very little effort.
niktam
Many thanks for all your replies I will try the hair dryer method first as the stickers only come off in little tiny bits if I pick at them. In hindsight I should have removed the stickers before fitting the bike rack.
spospe
Has anyone removed a sticker from the privacy glass fitted by Auto-Sleepers? I know that the material the sticker is actually in contact with, is a dark plastic film laid on the glass and am a bit wary about marking it.
