    Morning , l have just had two new leisure batteries fitted and they are charged by the solar panel. They are not being used for any power at the moment . My question is, should l keep them charging with the solar panel or switch it off and perhaps only put the power back on every couple weeks. your comments would be appreciated. Grumpyman

    Spent four hours clearing up in Suffolk after water coming up to the back door and garage also moved the cars to slightly higher ground. Water up to just below the sills. Motorhome OK. Grumpyman

    Sometime ago a contributor had his roof badly damaged by a garage heater, causing his van to be written off. I was just wondering if he is now back on the road with a replacement motorhome. Enjoying the open road. Grumpyman

    Help Does anyone have a problem with remis blinds coming out of the plastic arms? If so how does one get the concertina blind back in the track. The passenger side blind has parted from the arm. It doesn't seem to be stuck with adhesive. Grumpyman

    We have just returned from ten days away staying on a mixture of sites. One terrific site in Cumbria charged only thirteen pounds fifty including electricity. Well spaced hardstanding lovely owners. Great views. Grumpyman

    I have just read a article about a proposal to tax on motorhomes visiting to Scotland. The article states that it would be in line with if you were in a hotel or B&B. l can see paying if staying on campsites but how would it be collected if wild camping? Grumpyman

    Hi l had this problem with my fiat in 2021. l phoned fiat in Italy i think l was transferred to customer services. They spoke good English and received a phone call from a senior person. Although l paid for the replacement l received a credit note for two hundred pounds to be used for a service. l would give it a try, as you already know Fiat have been aware of the problem. Grumpyman

    l have a Autotrail f68 based on a Ford transit automatic. Does anyone know if the battery is a sealed unit? As to check it Is a right pain in the proverbial as you have to undo parts of the drivers seat. grumpyman

    I would tell the dealer to fit same for you or no more business in the future. The motorhome you describe does'nt come cheap fitting two detectors wouldn't break the bank I think the dealer is a right scrooge. Grumpyman

    Change your insurer then shop around for a alarm system. I use caravan guard insurance for my Ford motorhome although it has a phantom alarm. Grumpyman

    Just a thought is the caravan and motorhome club going to lose a number of members due to there extortionate pricing. The Camping and a Caravan club give age related concessions so is far better value. Definitely considering cancelling membership. Grumpyman
