Yes had handbook out so definitely needs fluid change. Its Rapido 7065, 17000 miles. We have owned it 4 years in August. The noise started a few month ago. It seemed worse when cold, when warmed up not as bad. So maybe when the oil has warmed & thinned and got round the gearbox might suggest it does need oil? Didn't know about oil for the clutch activation system should be checked every 2 years and replaced every 4 years till now. We have had it serviced but I'm guessing it's not been done. Also about transmission fluid. Hoping, it's these that need doing as opposed to gearbox going. Just want a price and know it's going to be sorted. Anyway other half will speak to fiat. Thanks

Thank you, I appreciate it. Just hoped someone had had a similar issue and could give an idea. Going to speak to fiat as well as vanlife to see if they have any knowledge of comfortmatic. They do an lot of vans & motorhomes. So will take it from there. Just hope it's either a fluid change, which it does need as checked in the handbook - didn't know about it till someone said on here. Or some sort of update. From what I understand it's a computer device that runs the gearbox. Fingers crossed

What I really want is someone who knows about these things to have a drive and listen to the noise and hopefully say what the issue is. I don't want it having to go to a main dealer and they spend hours stripping it down to to find the problem charging £100 plus per hour. I can't find anything on Google with anyone having the same problem. Most people have grating/clunking noise, also problems getting into gear. This has absolutely no problem going into gear 😞 it drives perfect.

We are Bradford, seen a place called vancare Leeds that have really good reviews. They do vans/motorhome/light commercials.

We don't have any warning lights on. Going to speak to a garage that deals in motorhomes/vans - hoping it needs fluid/oil rather than anything more sinister!

Hello, we have a Fiat Ducato 2017 motorhome, 2.3 comfortmatic. It drives perfect, goes into gear fine. When the gear changes it makes a sort of groaning noise. This is when being driven in the automatic mode (haven't tried it manual but maybe we should) does seem worse when cold. Could it oil? Noticed a tank that says automatic transmission fluid - could it need some fluid? Anyone had this problem? Tried looking on internet but can only find problems with grating/clunking noise and problems getting into gear. Any advice on this noise? Many thanks
