Hi, having owned a 2005 built hymer a class from new, meticulously maintained it had mot advisors for rust where you say, it was caught in time to be ground out and resealed by the same garage who did all the servicing
The pull down bed will be too short for you to stretch out fully in my opinion
We sold ours after 15 good years, but I would not buy another a class because of the screen, cold and hard to keep demisted in bad weather, hot as he'll in the summer, ours was right hand drive but the wipers were left wiping the wrong way for UK, meaning on top corner of drivers side was unwiped, in rain heard to read signage and signals on the road
Servicing always cost more because of having a letter box instead of a bonnet
Consider these facts for yourself, don't get me wrong the van was built very, very well and suited us while mainly in Europe and wintering in Spain but in damp old Blighty not so good, since brexit we decided to sell and we sadly said goodbye two years ago, now in a pvc and liking the versatility of it and go anywhere ability, and at the magic 6 metres long it goes to the Scottish iles for same price as a car!
Good luck with your search
