ROON Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 Hate to admit bought a newspaper today - first time in about a year - and the Daily Mirror has a list of Britain's best beaches which may be of interest to those of us who want to keep local due to fuel costs... there could be one near you. I've found a couple I am hoping may be of interest. (slightly off topic - just dropped daughter and friend at coach station to go working at a festival in Cornwall. Can those of you down there let me know what weather like please? Thank you.)
colin Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 Have a look here for live pics of fistral beach http://www.fistrallive.com/
donna miller Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 You should join them Grab a wet suit and get some surfing lessons Joy, you'll never realise you could have so much fun falling off an 8 foot lump of foam. :D
ROON Posted August 1, 2008 Author Posted August 1, 2008 :-D Thanks Donna!!! To be honest I did try for ages when I was young - really wanted to do it -but I was rubbish.... I'm one of those people who loved sport but if it was something moving under my feet (skating, surfing etc) .... I just couldn't balance. You obviously tried/do it? Is that so?
donna miller Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 I once managed to fall off the board while it was on the sand and we were practicing standing up. I am now an expert......................................................At falling off :D :$
ROON Posted August 1, 2008 Author Posted August 1, 2008 :-D Yeh, Donna. Don't worry - we are probably better with our hands 8-) >:-)
colin Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 ROON - 2008-07-31 10:01 PM You been there Colin? First went there on holiday with my parents in 1970, been back lots of times, but now holiday 'down the road' as it's to busy at Newquay for me now, also the surfers don't like windsurfers.
BGD Posted August 3, 2008 Posted August 3, 2008 Just for a moment I thought you said you'd bought a newspaper.........
