Guest Tracker Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 PS - Janine absolutely HATES being called Jan! PPS - There are plenty of other things that I could think of to call the good lady - but I am far to much of a gentlemen to suggest any!
twooks Posted August 4, 2008 Author Posted August 4, 2008 OK Dickie ;-) :-> 'course if you weren't so nosey - ... .. . .. . . .. . ... . . . . . . . . . ... :D B-)

Guest Tracker Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 OK then Jan baby - deal or no deal? I'll keep your secret if you will keep mine?
twooks Posted August 6, 2008 Author Posted August 6, 2008 apologies to J9 :$ Sorry Janine - :$ but I got so frustrated trying to send a lengthy and incredibly witty response to your PM - the system kept eating my note - so I fired off a quick thread instead. I have a friend who refuses to answer to Janine - so I guess I got mixed up. *-) a senior moment I guess - really should get back into the habit of using notepad for longer scribblings B-)
J9withdogs Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 No worries, Twooks - I wasn't going to say anything. As my Grandad used to say - you can call me whatever you like, as long as you don't call me late for my dinner!
twooks Posted August 6, 2008 Author Posted August 6, 2008 ;-) I get asked 'how do you spell it' with my name - usual response any way you're comfortable with - as long as it's reasonably polite - some strange phonetic type spellings around these daze ;-) B-)
J9withdogs Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 Funny - I wouldn't have thought there were many ways to spell 'Twooks' :D

Well I can't leave you boggling all night. We are told that you don't like being called Jan, but I was going to say that calling you J9 always makes me think of a world war two submarine. ( Is there a film " The Hunt for J9 "? ) From your photo I can clearly see there's no resemblance, so there didn't seem much point in bringing it up. So I won't. ;-) ;-) ;-)
J9withdogs Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 Thank you for that Malc - just as long as you weren't confusing me with K9, which is a dog, that's OK ;-) :-)
Guest Tracker Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 As someone who has met a few dogs J9, I can confirm that you surely are not one of them. Are films being confused here? The Hunt for Red October comes to mind as a submarine film J9 was a Royal Navy submarine from WW1 and, I think, was the last of a batch of 9 'J' class boats built in 1915.
J9withdogs Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 I think it's a cover-up Rich. Malc's doing a spot of back-pedalling here, methinks ;-)

Malc's doing a spot of back-pedalling here, methinks ;-) Absolutely no back pedalling involved Janine. ...and Trackers come up with the sub that I have probably heard of sometime. ( So it came from my sub-conscious). .....and ...before you say it ........no I did NOT serve on that sub in WW1. ;-)
Guest Tracker Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 malc d - 2008-08-06 8:16 PM ........no I did NOT serve on that sub in WW1. ;-) Did they have waiters on the subs in your day then Malc?
