Cattwg
Hi Folks, Our camper base on a 2000, 2.8 Renault Master diesel van has developed a nasty fault. The key fob will not operate the Central Locking or disarm the alarm. ---------- I have changed the battery in the key. (The spare key is not available.) I have also been able to verify that the key is actually sending a signal. (Can't be sure it's the correct one though!) Checked the Central Locking fuse (25amp). Checked the Immobiliser fuse (2amp). ---------- I can start and drive the van. (See below) The Central Locking switch inside the van works. ---------- To enable me to use the vehicle I have disconnected the siren and removed the fuse from the alarm control box. Before I go down the (expensive) Main Dealer route I would appreciate any ideas or thoughts on what the problem could be. Thank you. Cattwg :'( :-D
colin
Not sure if this will work but often to sync the key and vehicle you need to insert key in ignition then switch remote on and off. Maybe renault has similier system.
Guest peter
Read the manual or do a search on Google to find out how to Sync' the Fob to your system.
onecal
Hi John, Turn the ignition OFF. Then press the Central Door locking button for more than 5 sec' (the door should lock and then unlock) When this happens wait 10 sec' and then the immobiliser waring light will light. Point the key at the receiver and press the button twice. (again doors will lock and unlock) That's it. Regards, Brendan.
