Brambles
Were the Cheetah engines and it variants not all about 13 litres? I was thinking along the lines of some Australian chap building a radial engine from Honda XR600 cylinders for use in an aircraft. edit - spelling! George Collings
Hi Brambles, Yes you are right about the Cheetah being 13 litres or 835 ci.in. Serves me right for trusting the Internet. Perhaps it was a Warner super Scarab from the 1930s a five cylinder developing 145 hp used and for air racing. See http://www.oldengine.org/members/diesel/Duxford/usaero13.htm And http://www.enginehistory.org/G&jJBrossett/EAA%20Museum/Warner%20Super%20Scarab%20165D.JPG MMM + Warners =pure coincidence Regards
