A W
In the past the control box for my solar panels would click every 15 mins or so. I have just changed the leisure battery and when I dosconnected the terminals the solar control box went beserk with a loud continuous clicking. Since fitting the new battery I have run it flat but I'm no longer getting the odd click like before. There are 2 small fuses in the control box which I've changed but I can't tell if the panels are charging.Any help or advice would be appreciated. Paul-
Clicking would indicate that it’s a shunt type regulator (hopefully not) Buy a morningstar sunsaver if you can, they work like multy-stage battery chargers & will fully charge your battery……..stecka are also good
pedro
Hi when you disconnect the battery the panel has no where to put the power so it will go haywire, you should cover your panel so that it is not producing power or disconnect the panel first, and once you have reconnected everything take a voltage tester and check the voltage in the battery, once you uncover your panel you will know if your battery is getting charged as it will show a higher reading hope this helps
