john m
I tow a 2004 fiat panda on an a-frame. I was told that i needed to use a trailer board as they couldnt wire its lights in as it ha a "cambus" system. I have see pandas being towed without trailer board how do I wire the lights or is it specalists job. (?)
howie
Hi John. Perhaps you should try the main motorhome forum where i,m sure someone can help, but I do know that the cambus connection is a job for your main Fiat dealer and suggest you try them first. donna miller
This is only a suggestion, so don't anybody jump down my neck about it's content, I've done this on 3 different vehicles, so i know it's fine. Fit a standard trailer socket to the front bumper (or other suitable fixing point), then run a multi-core cable to the back of the car and wire to the lights, as you would for a towbar. Make sure the cable is routed and secured properly, make up a jumper cable with a plug on each end, and connect van to car with it. It will cost you about £20 for the parts and it works fine, even your fog light can be wired. Compare this to the price a Fiat dealer will charge for the cambus conversion.
