rosey lee
Does anyone know anything about water pumps in Burstner motorhomes. We have just purchased a Burstner Harmony T625. After trying out the water system and finding water flooding out from underneath the van we switched everything off closed the valves, (which were open) put more water in and tried again now the pump won't work. Looking in the information book!! we think the problem may be we now have a air lock. Does anyone know the best way to get rid of the air lock? bob b
Hi Rosey, I remember a few useful tips to cure this problem being offered up on the forum a short while ago. If you use the search facility, the thread should come up.
Derek Uzzell
Rosey Lee This may be the thread Bob has in mind: http://www.outandaboutlive.co.uk/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=12948&posts=11 When you say "now the pump won't work", do you mean that the water-pump is clearly 'dead', or that the pump runs but is apparently unable to deliver water under pressure to the taps? If the former, then the problem may be electrical (perhaps a blown fuse): if the latter then there may be a physical obstruction, an air lock or an air leakage in the water system that is preventing water reaching the taps. I believe Burstner may use either a diaphragm-type water-pump that will be very evident when it's operating due to the hammering noise it makes, or a submerged-type pump that will be a good deal quieter as it is located beneath the water in the motorhome's fresh-water tank. I don't know which type a T625 has though.
rosey lee
Many thanks for the helpful comments, we now have the water pump working fine. Think it may have been a bit of user error being that the motorhome is new to us, our last motorhome was a Auto Sleeper much simpler to understand.
