Basil
H all, does anyone know what resistance reading to expect on the 12volt element on an RM4271? Thanks in advance. Bas
hymer634
It takes about 10 or 12 amps - so should be about 1 ohm.
Basil
Thanks Hymer634, that was my reckoning too, but wanted to check that I was thinking straight. Thought I was going to need a new fridge as it failed on me at Peterborough last week on gas and when I tried it back home on mains that didn't work either and as it didn't seem to work very well on the journey home on 12 volt I though a new fridge was inevitable. When I checked the mains element that had failed and the gas had a blocked injector so after cleaning the gas side and changing the 240 volt element everything works fine, but I still had the nagging doubt about the 12 volt side. Testing it gave me 1 ohm which, as you state should be correct so thanks for your confirmation. Regards Bas
