Guest patrick Winks
Hi, I have a faulty tube in this light and the two caravan shops that I have been into -I´m in Spain - have told me to go to a domestic electrical shop even after I explained that it was for a motorcaravan. Of course my system is 12v but my partner says that she thinks she had read somewhere that these flourescent tubes are multi voltage. My present one doesn´t have a voltage on it nor does the domestic one I looked at just a wattage. Could someone please enlighten me, thanks Patrick. Guest Alan
That's correct - most tubes are mains voltage. The 12v supply is stepped up to the higher voltage by a small circuit called an inverter built in to the fitting. Just find a tube the same physical size and wattage and you should be OK
Guest Patrick Winks
Alan, thanks for the quick response, I was still at the cybercafe when it came through so I shut down and rushed around to the shop and got one before they closed and we have light, regards Patrick.
