Hi,

You can use Isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol and let it swirl around for a time Tank out is the best and swirl around well. You will have to ensure top of tank gets cleaned aswell.

Flush out well then add some dishwasher soap (no suds) and flush well. Do this three times. Then fill the tank up and add some denture tabs 4 tubes will do and leave for 12 hrs. Flush out and keep flushing until clear.

Fill the tank to overflow with water and leave for 24hrs and flush You now will be able to use your tank again as normal.

Regards,

Brendan

You have 2 options - depending on what you wish to use it for - BOTH REQUIRE A NEW PUMP! The pump filter will be contaminated, and that would never clear.

If you drink from the tank: Replace the whole system, tank and pump. May cost a few hundred but you will never do it again! lol!

If you do not drink from it (most people don't): Just remove, clean and replace pump. diesel is an oil and oil is carcenogenic, so be careful. Whatever you decide to clean with, it will need constant flushing and checking. Also be careful what chemicals you use, and many can permiate the plastic - i would get proffesional advice on what best to clean with.
