Don Madge
sooty10 - 2009-06-14 12:16 PM does anyone know if blue badge holders have to pay full price on French toll roads. Thanks Keith Sutcliffe Hi Keith, You should pay class 1 tolls on the Autoroute on showing your blue badge. Make sure you use the manned toll booths I don't know how you get on at the unmanned stations. See http://www.iam.org.uk/IAM+Policy+and+Research/advice/parking/bluebadgeusersparkingineurope.htm for blue badge concessions in the Europe. sooty10
Thanks Don, I am asking the question for our daughter, Julie is registered blind and her husband thinks it will be easier to use the toll roads. They are heading for Royan in July and sailing to St Malo. Thanks once again, Keith Sutcliffe.
onecal
Hi sooty, Make sure as Don madge pointed out that you go to a manned toll booth and you should have no problems. Some may look for I.D. Regards, Brendan.

Frankkia
From experience you may, as Don said, pay as a class 1 but only for vehicles under 3.5tonne. We did a trip to Portugal using peage motorways, through France, in a 5.2 tonne m/home about a year ago. Some accepted the blue badge others pointed out that it was only for vehicles under 3.5 tonne. We now use mainly 'N' roads as we find 'em just as quick and they are free. You also get to see plenty more of France (motorways can be boring and you could be anywhere).
