In Praise of SAT NAV

I`m not actually behind the times as I first used SAT NAV at sea when they were the size of a caravan fridge and only coughed up a Lat/long every hour or so and have used them ever since. Put my hand in my pocket for our trip to the S of France bought a Garmin Nuvi 255W and even though we`ve been quite a few times on that route it makes life so easy, no more disagreements or map upside down etc, yes they have some quirks but passing through larger towns is so easy.

Main things to watch for is the overall route is what you have in mind, entering a few via points if necessary and not being directed through a medieval city rather than on the ring road around, perhaps large vans might be better off with one that is designed for them but otherwise an excellent buy.
