hallii
I will go a bit off topic here, sorry! I cannot understand the attitude towards M/H in this Country, campsites charge the same for a small campervan as for a caravan, car, enormous awning and sometimes a second car. Then you get the smaller pitch as well, because " you don't need a full size pitch do you?" Yes I bl**dy well do!. Local government seem bent on preventing us from parking anywhere, I noticed last time at a UK coastal resort that anything taller than 2.1 metres is not allowed on the car parks. Then they complain that the tourists are going abroad and that the local economy is suffering as a result. I won't mention the weather! Off to Spain and France for me in September then. Roll on. Brian Kirby
phantom - 2009-07-09 5:48 PM ............... take pity on your Irish neighbours. Apps Why? They have Irish incomes, and can afford the prices. Try buying a pint of Guinness! :-)
BrianR
Just back from a few nights in Devon, for £3 a night with views of Dartmoor. Lots of aires are more expensive than this. Admittedly I have to pay an annual fee of £42 to the CC, but the cheap CLs make it worthwhile. I doubt very much if the campsite operators are driving away business, they are too smart to do that. It is the price you pay for living in a very crowded island.
