After many years without any problems the neon indicator light in the 12V on/off switch failed. The switch has been replaced a few times, but each time the neon fails after a few hours use. Can anyone suggest what can be the cause of the failures? The fridge continues to operate on12Vs, although not very well, but then I don't think the 12V system ever worked very well It may well be working as well as it is supposed to work.
