Sorry Colin, I was going to disagree with you as I had misread your post as 3-4 hours. Indeed, it would last about 45 minutes, after which the battery would be (very!) flat. Most inverters will shut down if the supply voltage falls to 10 volts (or thereabouts). With a 1000 Watt load on it the leisure battery terminal voltage will rapidly fall to about this figure and in about 15 - 30 minutes the inverter would trip out.D.
