Ranger
Hi Michael, do they work if you go all the way to the top? a very very light lubrication usually cures the problem, with something like WD40 or vegitable cooking oil. Thicker oil just gums them up. Manipulate the working part a bit by hand some times helps. My bathroom window only works if I go right to the top, but the rest work OK if I just go up to the next 'click'. Best of luck and welcome to the Forum, you don't have to be 'nutty' but it does help............
bob b
I'd try some silicone spray.
Ranger
If you have not got any silicone spray Michael, 'Back to black' or similar spray, bumper cleaner has silicone in it, and should work very well. P.S. don't get it on the shower tray or you will not be able to stand without slipping down with a crash. When the loo pan is clean and dry spray that too, and nothing much will stick to it so will stay nice and clean, also keeps the shutter in good working order.
