billymoore
I have swapped in my caravan etc for a Motorhome and on this web site at the top i noticed a Motorhome with a porch awning. I gave mine with the caravan so I,m choked. But how do they fit? :-(
Ris
Motorhomes do not come with a fitted awning rail, but a plastic one can be fitted by dealer where you would want it. However, if you have an Omnistore wind out awning then this does have a channel at bottom that will accept a porch awning, many motorhomers now use the lightweight porch awnings using this method. Check out height and length before you go down this route.
JohnP
The channel on the Fiamma wind-out is 4mm diameter so smaller than a caravan channel. If you purchase an awning for a caravan with the bigger channel beading it is possible to get a conversion strip. I do not know what size the channel is on an Omnestor - check before you buy. Bazza454
JohnP - 2009-11-16 5:17 PM I do not know what size the channel is on an Omnestor - check before you buy. Omnistor channel is the same as Fiamma 4mm. The majority of awnings have 6mm beading therefore to fit to either Omnistor or Fiamma you will need a length of 4mm to 6mm conversion strip, also known as figure 8 strip or Kador rail -http://www.driveaway-awnings.co.uk/shop_summary.html#
