tonyfletcher
Hi, I have just received a Christmas dinner invite from Brownhills, is anyone else going? Cheers Tony
JohnP
Not likely. It's 120 miles each way.
JohnP
I doubt whether it will cost them much more than £5.00 a head, unless they include a bottle of wine and a visit to the pantomine.

euroserv
If the traditional service standards are upheld I suspect that you will travel a long way on the appointed day and find that only vegetables will be available with the turkey being unavoidably delayed but expected in the next few days. This will not be their fault. You will be offered some expensive upgrades to your meal and be expected to provide your own plate that will mysteriously disappear or be broken. You will pull a christmas cracker with an enthusiastic salesman who will have some sort of speech impediment so that he cannot say the word 'judder' and will be hit in the eye with a party popper fired off by an apologetic service advisor that saw the injury occur but did not see who did it thus avoiding any claim. While you are there you will be offered some sort of complementary winter check the end result of which will be that you are quoted so much for repairs that you end up buying a new vehicle. No such thing as a free christmas dinner. Sorry if this gets your thread pulled but I could not resist. Anonymous

robertandjean
Sorry to spoil all the fun but we are going for our Christmas Lunch on Friday. Making a short break of it staying over a couple of nights and maybe spending a day in Lincoln. Went last year and it was good and yes you did get a glass of red wine thrown in. So looking forward to it; always seems to be open season on Brownhills on here but which other dealers give free overnight stays and a lunch at Christmas? Think it is time that some people found another windmill to tilt at. Ah, let me think maybe staying on aires instead of campsites might be a new one!!!! Merry Christmas All Jean and Robert

yeti
I have had an invite and would have gone, but we are extremely busy with various charity projects. I wouldn't have had any turkey as it is my policy to only have it on xmas Day and the dog days after!!

trigrem
We went last year and enjoyed it, very helpful staff, & never approached by any salesmen. We are going this year in a couple of weeks ,followed by a few days at Chatsworth
Alan D
Just returned from Brownhills after an excellent lunch we were not alone either as the Bistro was full when we left. Who says there is no such thing as a free lunch? But was it a coincidence that we received a call reminding us that our Vehicle and Hab check is due in March and they have a special offer on at the moment and guess what ,we could be pulled in while we were eating with no waiting list! No complaints about the food and drink though and we only spent £2 .50 in the accessory shop. :-D
starvin marvin
We had our lunch today and very good it was, sorted a few things with the van and didn't spend any dosh either, other than the fuel. We also made a trip to our real friends in Newark as well, so all in all not a bad day.
watsoa
Received an invite but too late for the site in Durham where I go for my servicing. Checked on the Newark site dates but then found that my invite was invalid as I didn't purchase from Brownhills. So much for Christmas spirit!!! robertandjean
Watsoa, not sure why if you did not purchase from Brownhills you should expect an invite, but maybe that's too much bahh, humbug! (and enjoy the 1100 days of Christmas!) On a positive note we enjoyed an excellant Xmas lunch at Brownhills today and we were not alone, bistro was full, so trade can not be too bad for Brownhills. We have also found out that Brownhills now have got their Fiat Servicing franchise back, so can now do Fiat warranty work.

Let's just hope that they do that as well as they allegedly look after the habitation side and warranty work - and then every customer will be a happy ickle bunny wunny woo - won't they!
