donna miller
It's good to see that Gordon Brown still turns to Tony Blair for assistance.
Syd
One could be excused for thinking that with all the money he has made since leaving office he could afford a better mobile than that eh PS, I KNOW THAT THIS ISNT REALLY BLAIRS PHONE OR EVEN A MESSAGE FROM BROWN, honest
donna miller
But Syd, it was on the internet, all of us ignorant fools are bound to think it's true. (lol)
Guest Tracker
Don't forget that dear Gordon is Scottish and not one prone to spending his own money unneccessarily and after all a phone is a phone is a phone innit! Although after pledging £1,500,000,000 of our money - and I don't recall being asked - to third world climate change aid at Copenhagen he might need to look for somewhat larger savings elsewhere so that we can afford to pay it for him! According to the news he allegedly upped 'our' original offer of £1,200,000,000 to £1,500,000,000 to 'encourage' other European countries to offer more? Or was it so that he can show them all what a big man he is on the world stage and just how generous the British people really are - while the other European nations just smile and say 'look how prudent we are with our taxpayer's money'? The man is a bloody liability!

nightrider
I have been slagged off more than a few times and with all the knives stuck in my back I now know what a hedgehog must feel like? I am not into overly serious postings life's too short for that, I specialise in the banal, stupid and positively ridiculous statements but then again I have the type of humour that I can laugh at, and with myself. I have often thought that people who have a serious outlook on life usually end up in the graveyard long before people who can chill out, laugh at themselves and others without taking offence, lifes for living not moaning. nightrider
When you join a forum such as this there will be a diverse membership, some, no doubt highly intelligent, some intelligent and some not so intelligent and some like me just plain ordinary. Problems start when you get someone opening his gob by saying how highly educated and intelligent he is. Now nobody likes a clever Dick do they? especially when they are, in their way of thinking looking down at the lower orders and mocking someones lack of good grammar, something I would never do. At least I have a good excuse for some of the posts I send in, they are due to the side effect mood swings brought on by the medication that I am on, so there, rant over. :D
Guest Tracker
I must remember that one Malcolm - when all else fails blame the medication! I too have been educated by the university of real life experiences, and I reckon it helps me cope with the realities of real life rather well - although there are those that might disagree! nightrider
I graduated from the university of life and the school for hard knocks, never regretted a minute of it. Through my trade as a plumber and heating engineer I have never been short of a few bob jingling in my pocket, a bit of folding stuff in my wallet and a few bob invested here and there. Never woke up in the middle of the night wondering where the hell am I going to get the money to pay my bills and mortgage at the months end and most importantly never had the worry of being laid off, made redundant by a company whose fortunes were slowly going down the pan. Money has never been my God, never been interested in flashing signs of wealth, no interest in flash motors only interested in earning enough money to enable me to take time off work to pursue my particular interests and hobbies and of course being able to hit the road in my motorhome as and when I want, so all in all life's been pretty good to me.
