Delfin Driver
I know this has been covered before but canot get the Search to work. Can anyone recommend a good Atlas for Germany? We will be spending half-term there in February and will be passing through in July. We looked at a few in Stanfords in Covent Garden last night but we were either not particularly happy with the scale or the mapping. We do have a Sat Nav but we want a good map to complement this. We did live in Germany for years but used ADAC maps. Thank-you in advance.
Mel B
We have an 'AA Big Road Atlas Germany', 2.5m to an inch and is quite a hefty item being 352 pages (Germany is so big!). Its very detailed so can be a pain at times, but if you're looking for info on things to do in the area it's very useful especially to supplement sat nav. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Big-Road-Atlas-Germany-Atlases/dp/0749550988
Delfin Driver
Thank-you Mel B. I will have a look at that- it 's the sort of scale I was hoping for.
AliB
We used the Insight Atlas last year. City 1:15 000, surrounding area 1:100 000 with the in between bits at 1:300 000. The varying scales make for a much more manageable book. http://www.insightguides.com
