Archiesgrandad Posted March 30, 2010 Share Posted March 30, 2010 We refer to our motorhome as "the van", but I do remember from the days when we owned sailing boats that boats are always refered to as "she". The reason given was that you spend a fortune on making them look pretty, but you need to look after their bottoms if you want them to really go well. It bears the name of 'Iris' because Iris is the flower associated with 25th wedding anniversaries and is also a goddess who comes down on rainbows to take you upstairs when your life's work is done. thebishbus Posted March 30, 2010 Share Posted March 30, 2010 We sometimes take cycling friends with us over to the "Semaine Federale", one off them named our van the Bishbus, when she saw how much wine we bring home, she re-named it , the Bishboozebus.
