athiest Posted March 31, 2010 Share Posted March 31, 2010 Hi all, just returned from our first trip with our new motorhome. Have a dab radio working off it's own internal rechargeable battery. Every time that I use the water pump,(kitchen bowl, bathroom bowl,shower etc) the radio cuts out until the pump goes off. Any thoughts please? colin Posted March 31, 2010 Share Posted March 31, 2010 I think this may be a problem that our amatuer radio enthusiasts could give advise on, in the meantime... It would seem the pump is producing 'noise' that is affecting DAB signal and just like DTTV to much noise and it completely cuts out. Two things come to mind, using an outside arial and/or some kind of supressor on the pump motor (maybe like the ones fitted to the old dynamo's on cars?)
