water drain plug/fiat ducato

Does anybody know where the water drain plug is on a 2005 2.8 ducato

fuel/water warning lights just decided to come on

Hi Jingo,

Normally it is on the bottom of the Diesel fuel filter bowl. You should find top nearside of bulkhead under bonnet behind air filter. You loosen the actual water sensor unit.

It is quite usual for the 'water in the fuel' light to come on for a few seconds when the ignition is first switched on. If it stays on for much longer then as suggested above unscrew the big plastic knob at the bottom of the fuel filter and let the water drain out. It's a good idea to change the filter from time to time, they are not expensive.
