Guest Peter Sharpe
From April 20th, it will be legal to tow a caravan up to 2.55 metres wide with a non-commercial vehicle, although you will obviously still have to tow within the capabilities of your tow car. The VAT of 17.5% will now apply, whereas they were previously classed as permanent dwellings and were exempt. Will this cause anybody here to rush out and buy a wider caravan?Would you like to see British manufacturers adding wider models to their ranges, remembering that in theory, these would not necessarily have to be at the upper end of the weight range?
