Possible virus alert

Hi I received this e mail today and thought ,it better to warn all ,it appears to be a genuine alert, see below also link to snopes.

I've looked on Snopes and it appears that this may actually be a virus as opposed to all the hoaxes.  Just be aware!
 PLEASE READ THIS

Anyone-using Internet mail such as Yahoo, Hotmail, AOL and so on.  This information arrived this morning, Direct from both Microsoft and Norton Please send it to everybody you know who has Access to the Internet. You may receive an apparently harmless e-mail titled 'Mail Server Report' . If you open either file, a message will appear on your screen saying: 'It is too late now, your life is no longer beautiful....'

Subsequently you will LOSE EVERYTHING IN YOUR PC, And the person who sent it to you will gain access to your Name, e-mail and password.  This is a new virus which started to circulate on Saturday afternoon..  AOL has already confirmed the severity, and the anti virus software's are not capable of destroying it.

The virus has been created by a hacker who calls himself 'life owner'.

PLEASE SEND A COPY OF THIS E-MAIL TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS, And ask them to PASS IT ON IMMEDIATELY!

THIS HAS BEEN CONFIRMED BY SNOPES.

That wording should put you on the alert straight away. The excessive use of caps -- and an exclamation mark -- add to its unbelievability.

Be aware that there definitely IS one doing the rounds allegedly from UPS (parcel courier company).

I had to ring UPS yesterday to arrange a collection and in the automated intro-blub they mentioned an email which is being sent out purporting to be from them stating that they are trying to make a delivery to you and asking that you open an attachment to check the details (or some such wording). The attached 'document' has a virus within it which infects your machines. This is NOT a joke so if you get one of these emails allegedly from UPS do NOT open the attachment. For the company to advise on this as soon as you ring them, it must be causing a heck of a problem.
