Mel B
Hi Ian I see you managed it then! :-> I can see what you mean about the rising front section, however it's not that big so I would have thought you could probably have some 'bespoke' brackets made to lift the awning a little bit higher and therefore move it towards the front of the 'van. Or alternatively, could the existing brackets be packed out to raise them up? You can buy the guttering/strip at various places: http://www.abp-accessories.co.uk/productindi.php?id=387 http://www.agentfiamma.co.uk/erol.html#365x0 https://sslrelay.com/olearymotorhomeshop.co.uk/sess/utn;jsessionid=154cf034d010736/shopdata/index.shopscript
Barbarian
Hi Mel, Steve at FM Caravans has already taken the awning off when it went in for the window, to see if it could be raised and moved forward but it would involve removing the fixing bracket under the awning and that would damage the roof because of the way it is fixed. The sealant contains a glue that would damage the roof surface if removed. He also considered spacers to raise it but that would be very expensive due to them having to be specially made, there is nothing on the market for this job. I will try the guttering when the weather improves, I got a strip from O'Learys at the weekend it comes in 29" lengths for £9.99 I can't fix it on in this weather it's just a peel and stick but I will seal the top edge with an exterior window sealant. Hope it works, it's a lot cheaper than having spacers made! Thanks again for all your help. Regards - Ian
