terryW
Fitted a second one and the following are some of the things to consider: First it may not appear that the swivel plate is very thick but it can make quite a different to your driving position especially if you have a long back. Second, make sure you use High Tensile bolts not your common or garden DIY shop bolts, your life may depend on it. Even with one already fitted in the van to use as a pattern I still had problems getting the right bolt lengths and nuts. In my case the lengths were critical and some of the nuts were 'half nuts' (half thickness). I was lucky having a good engineering retailer near me otherwise I would have spent most of my time traveling for bits. Some suppliers of the swivel mechanism supply a fixing kit but I didn't use one so can't comment on how good they are.
colin
Which model pug? Wildax's version of fitting a swivel to an x250 we hired was to bend handbrake mounting bracket out of way, this made the handbrake a real pain to use.
MickyDee
Once saw a swivel seat modified so that you could swivel the seat right round on put a padlock through the swivel part. This then put the rear of the driving seat right up against the steering wheel making it impossible to drive away. Another way to slowdown would be thieves lol. ;-)
