JasmineAnders
The side door on our van is fitted with a Fiamma Safety Door Lock.I believe that the type of lock is called a Radial Pin Tumbler. The key is tubular and has two "pegs" which insert into two slots, in rings, in the lock.Somehow, after locking the van yesterday, the two slots have got out of line by about 1/8" and so it is impossible to insert the key.It is the inner ring that is out of place and no amount of effort seems to get it to move.Result is that we cannot get into the side door of the van- the safety lock works well!Has anybody else had this happen- or knows of a cure?Or is it a question of seeing a Locksmith to get it drilled out? Many thanks. Diesel Dan
Hi I have come across the same problem and got round it by filling of the outer peg on the key. This allows the key to enter and open the door. You can then turn lock to correct position and then just use your spare key every day. Hope this helps
