The most common involves a 40cm x 40cm (or thereabouts) hole being cut in the roof, with a 30cm x 30cm version often being used in bathrooms. There are a good few manufacturers (Fiamma or Dometic are perhaps the best known) making these standard size rooflights and any caravan dealer should be able to obtain one for you. A cheaper alternative would be a caravan breaker (GOOGLE search om "caravan breakers") - in fact, as you've probably lost only the top piece, you might be able to find the exact missing part at a breaker.
