mikemelson Posted April 10, 2011 Share Posted April 10, 2011 Hi, Anyone got the 'bang up to date' diesel prices across the channel?, we're off in a couple of days & I'm wondering whether to fill up at Morrisons or wait 'till we get to Auchan. Coming down from Calais on Wednesday Auchan was 1.35 euros but I think Leader Price further up the road was cheaper. Super U at Vivonne on the N10 was 1.33 euros. francisgraham Posted April 10, 2011 Share Posted April 10, 2011 You can currently reckon on French prices being about the same in Euro that they are in Sterling. French fuel comes from the same places as ours and follows the same ups and downs in oil prices. In the UK the dealer prices for petrol and diesel are actually lower than virtually every country in Europe. The only difference is that our taxation is much higher and of course the French government taxes diesel slightly more favourably than our government.
