KD1
My motorhome has a Thetford Cassette C200 toilet fitted. Recently the lever to operate the valve to open the access to the holding tank has become very stiff to use. I have tried to use silicon on the lever to see if that helps , but it is still the sme. Any advice please. Could it be that a new seal would solve the problem.
Guest peter
Mine was very stiff also. So I removed the valve assembly from the cassette and used spray grease on all the rubbing surfaces and it's fine now. You remove the assembly by turning the whole lot anticlockwise and it comes out. There are arrowsmarked on the cassette top so you get it back right. Whilst I was at it I took the opportunity to give the inside a good clean out, as it was getting a bit rank. :D
Brambles
KD1, if you go onto the Thefotd website you will find somewhere instruction for dismantling various parts and repairing. Best take a look as it will all become much clearer how to get bits apart.
