thebishbus
Hi. On our Hymer B584 the cooker igniter fuse is on the Electroblock EBL 90, Fuse -- Kreis 2 10 amp. Brian B.
thebishbus
PS Perhaps I should have mentioned that it is the same fuse--- Kreis 2 , for the extrator hood and the fridge internal lamp. 8-) Brian B.
new to the game
Thanks for the reply, there was a bit of a crack which seemed to come from under the hob when the ignitor went off, but the extractor and fridge light are still working as well as the oven ignitor. thebishbus
Hi again. It sounds as though you have a problem with the hob igniter itself. Our Smev hob unit has three burners, and the controls in the centre at the front. The wiring for the igniter enters under the rear LH corner via a plastic strip connector. You mention that you have an oven, is it under the hob unit ? if so maybe the heat from it has damaged the igniter wiring or connector, worth checking first. Brian B. new to the game
Hi, thanks for the advice, the oven is below the hob although up till now we have only used the grill, we will investigate however unsure how to go about it as access is very limited, but if unable to sort out we will continue to use our hand held gas igniter.
