Big Momma
We will be driving to Dover in 3 weeks time on a Friday evening. We had planned to stay overnight along Marine Parade as we had done on a previous occasion. However, as we have a much longer vehicle and may not arrive until late with a high probability that any spaces will be fully utilised, we are considering stopping overnight on a TESCO Extra's car park just off the A20 at Folkestone. It is a 24 Hour store and we will use it to stock up on some last minute 'fresh' provisions. has anyone else stayed overnight on this car park ? Hopesy
Haven't used it and i think they charge but there is a layby just past the services towards folkestone where i've seen Mh's parked overnight although hgvs also seem to use it.
FRANKP60
Be careful Supermarkets normally restricted parking to 2/3 hours parking ,even if you are shopping in store .Sure they will have cameras monitoring you on entrance and exit.
bolero boy
Try Caravan club CL (under Dover) at Longfield Farm, Singledge Lane, Whitfield, Dover CT15 5AA 01304 820234 - we were very pleasantly surprised at how nice a field (with electric) could be. About £8 and 6 miles to the Ferry.
peterandlinda
Hi We don't think you will have a problem at Marine parade, there is a lot of room! The parkies don't work after 6 and the Police are more than happy to have you. You could always try the M2/A2 route and break your journey at the Dover Road park and ride south of Canterbury. There is also a Tesco just off the A2 but We think this too now has ANPR parking restrictions. P&L

terryW
There is a lay-bye 10 miles (exactly) prior to the Port by a small cafe it's hidden from the road by trees so watch out for it. You may be lucky.
