Hi Bigron Friend of ours bought a Frankia A Class in 2009 which did not have spare or Tray. Think he said he paid c £ 230 for both Spare and Tray.

We recently bought a 2011 Hymer Van 562 which came without a Spare, jack or brace. Cost us 300 +

€ to have retro fitted in Garage as no Tray either.

If you get a Tray fitted underneath Van make sure it tight as the friend heard a bang as they went over rough Railway crossing near Auch and spare nearly collected a French driver behind them.!!!

Good luck

Keith

Presumably the spare wheel that came with your Burstner is currently stored under the bed? If that's so, then it's a fair bet that a previous owner has purchased the wheel and found that trying to carry it beneath the vehicle is either impracticable (eg. Burstner has installed water/waste tanks where the spare-wheel would normally be fitted) or would be horrifyingly expensive.

The x250 has provision for a spare wheel carrier to be fitted under the van. Whether you can fit one depends on the location of the water tanks etc and you will have to look or get a Fiat garage to take a look. The standard carrier is a wire pulley setup usually accessed from the rear wheel area. If you contact Fiat or a Fiat Professional dealer they will give you a list of parts required. Recently this was modified and is now pretty expensive for what you get, price for the kit of bits is close to £300 without wheel and tyre. I was quoted £500 with fitting recently so will continue to do without.
