Administrator Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 When are you planning on selling your current motorhome and how will you sell it (ie classified ad/part ex)?
Guest pelmetman Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 Can you tell me why its £45 to sell a motorcaravan on OAL but free for caravans?
aultymer Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 I thought motorhomes had their own forum? If the moderators can't post in the right forum, what chance do us numpties have? (lol) (lol)
MandyAndy Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 Not thinking of selling as yet but if we where it would be Ebay. Mandy
Administrator Posted September 8, 2011 Author Posted September 8, 2011 Apologies but I did put this in the wrong section, have moved it now - good spot!
Big Momma Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 Not considering selling just yet. However, if and when I do it will depend on circumstances such as: Am I looking to change vehicles and what sort of PX deal could I get If just selling, how quickly do I need to sell it ? I think selling privately is always going to have some risks. However, a little bit of caution and pre-planning may eleviate some of these. Do not let person road test without you in the vehicle (have your mobile phone in case needed), if payment by cheque do not hand over vehicle until payment has been cleared through your bank. As to where I would advertise, depends on how quickly I needed to sell, Ebay always seems to have a quick turnover. Advertising in Specialist magazines or on a wbsite is always a possibility but sometimes the price is quite steep and the information you can record can be limited.
Caddies104 Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Think I would always sell back to dealer if I was part x ing.. As can usually do a very good deal.. E.g. Sold our 5 year Suntor, bought for £26,900 new and got £23,000 part x ..they also paid the extra vat when it went up at the start of 2011. How good was that !!! (lol)
