Hopefully taking a 'Cal-Mac' island Hopscotch to the Western isles in April/May, favourites are the 'Uists and Barra' . then back via Skye to Onich, for a week.

we avoid the school holidays then go away again in September. (because we can) don't dislike ALL children, just most of them. ;-) Ray

Now booked, May/June hope the weather is better than last year.

'Europe' has 'put me off' with it's new 'laws' to bug tourists. compulsory Breathalysers, new LEZ's,No A-Frames etc., etc.,.

Canoe season starts now so as from next weekend until September time we are going to Shepperton, Scotland, Tee's, Nottingham, Lee Valley for Selection event then Olympic event, Cardiff for World Cup race and probably loads more that I can't remember off the top of my head. Hoping that we can get a weekend in Thetford Forest just to relax away from canoeing and work. No long holiday this year in the van, maybe next year ;-) Spent 2 weeks in Scotland last Easter and 3 weeks last October in Australia and neither of us has much holiday left let alone the time!!! Going to be a busy year.

2012 will see us carrying on our wandering around Europe that we started in October last year. We'll keep going until we run out of money, then it'll be back to reality and getting jobs.

In Jan we took a detour out of Europe into Morocco - well it was freezing everywhere - now hubby has been bitten by the bug and is talking about Tunisia, has anyone been? How does it compare to Morocco?

We had lots of plans both at home in UK and in Europe! Then last month along came a German Lorry Driver travelling TOO FAST & TOO CLOSE to stop, when we had to for Roadworks.

Result We are now looking for a replacement motorhome for our Hymer B 630 which we had just got upto the stadard we required. This has been "written off" by the insurance company.

So if anyone knows of a Lefthand drive, Rear wheel drive, with Garage and good payload, PLEASE get in touch.

We spent 7 weeks in France in April/May from Calais to Cannes (and bumped into (not literally) a chap called Brian Kirby - resident of this parish). September will see us on a GB Privilege tour of a month in the Alps (we tend to do one such tour each year) and we will probably take another 2 or 3 weeks to travel back from where we finish up in Italy. Other than that, we tend to get away every month in the UK for 10 days or so (December through February less so, unless weather is reasonable) . In total we spend about 120 nights in the Van each year and travel around 8000 miles. Great life!

Richard.
