Laika Lyn
Does anyone have any suggestions re how to level an electric step. It's a double step and is sloping quite badly. It still works but is a little hairy to step out onto from the doorway. (?)
Brian Kirby
Just to start, have you checked that the step is undamaged and properly secured under the van (all bolts etc present and tight) and that all the pivot points are similarly intact and secure. They do tend to flex a bit in use, the heavier the person the more they flex :-), but if permanently distorted, I'd suspect it has been damaged, or something, somewhere, is loose, or has come adrift. Charles Chodkowski
We used to own a 1999 100i Laika which had their own design electric step. They are fairly easy to dismantle and that would show any damage that may or may not be easy to repair. I suspect one of the countersunk screws has come adrift. A good clean and paint should see it looking as good as new.
George Collings
Suggest you post some pics of the steps nether regions when its both retracted and extended,
