Guest pelmetman Posted July 27, 2012 Share Posted July 27, 2012 snail - 2012-07-27 11:39 AM would be interested in your veiws on spain, going this year for first time, is it calpe you stayed? regards snail Been for the last 2 years for a spot of winter sun in January........It's now on our regular agenda except next year hope to be there for Jan/Feb B-).................not sure I'd wanna be out there now 30+ degrees 8-)........although we went to the bit around the Bay of Biscay in May and was amazed just how lush it was, a bit like coast of Cornwall with the lake district as a back drop ;-)..............The locals reckon it doesn't get too hot there in summer, and based on the fact that the sites were still just waking up when we went, I think when we go again it would be June time ;-) There are 2 sites and a large aire in Calpe, we have stayed at both sites although we only spent one night at La Merced who are not part of the ACIS although they do discounts for long stays, Calpemar accept ACIS and as Tetley has said the pitches are tight if you have a large outfit.........but its bang in the middle of town, 5mins from the beach and the facilities are modern, we had a grand time there B-) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Starters...........Plenny's smoked salmon with crayfish tails on a bed of salad with balsamic dressing. Main Course.......Smoked fish and salmon chowder, with green beans.
