Mike B.
Hi all Just a warning if anyone is using an Erde trailer, check the wiring from plug to lights. The run on the Motorcycle trailer is a bit iffy as the cable can get trapped between the platform and the axle, and rub to the extent the wires short out on the chassis. I think this is a bit of a design fault and potentially dangerous. Mine shorted out, took out the indicators then the brakelights and tail lights but also blew the fuses for these on the van. I had a problem in France with this and thought it was sorted with a loose connection but it re-occured this week and turned out to be bare wires hidden under the trailer cable channel. I have now re-routed mine over the channel so I can see the cables. Mike PS It took out the Cruise Control too and Mr Newells instructions for re-setting via diagnostics mode worked perfectly 10/10 for clear instructions Dave

Mike B.
Glad it's saved you the aggro-not a very good design is it? I have re-routed mine along the 'lip' and run it through a length of that flexi pipe they use as caravan waste pipe and cable tied it to hold in position. No way will it get trapped or rub now. You'd think Erde would have figured that by now wouldn't you? *-) Mike
